About Eric Crowley
Eric Crowley is the Director of Investment Services at SelectUSA. The Investment Services team includes an assembly of highly dedicated and experienced professional staff both at the Department of Commerce headquarters in Washington, D.C. and in major markets around the world to deliver front-line investment solutions to U.S.-based economic development organizations and foreign business investors.
Prior to his current position at SelectUSA, Eric had a distinguished career as a commercial diplomat to promote U.S. commercial interests overseas. His most recent overseas assignment was at the U.S. Consulate General in Toronto where he promoted U.S. commercial interests in the Ontario region of Canada, and also served as Acting Consul General on numerous occasions. Prior to that assignment, Eric served at the U.S. diplomatic missions in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and at the U.S. Export Assistance Center in Boston.
During his career as a commercial diplomat, Eric helped thousands of U.S. companies export and foreign companies invest in the United States, generating tens of billions of dollars in support of U.S. business interests and creating thousands of U.S.-based jobs. For his service, Eric has been recognized with numerous awards from the Departments of Commerce and State.
Before joining the U.S. Department of Commerce, Eric served as the Director of the Washington State Commercial Office in Taiwan, President of the American State Offices Association in Taipei, a founding member of the Taiwan Discover America Committee, and a board member of the American Chambers of Commerce in Taipei and Toronto.
Eric speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and holds an MBA in International Marketing from the University of Washington and a BA in Chinese from the University of Colorado.
